Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup (1 stick / 120g) butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ~1 tbsp vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp banking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

1¼ cups whole oats

  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup butterscotch chips

Mix wet ingredients well into a medium mixing bowl.

Mix dry ingredients (except the oats) in small mixing bowl. Add dry mixture gradually to wet mixture, mixing well as you add. Then mix in the oats and chocolate chips.

Scoop cookies onto an ungreased baking sheet by teaspoon (small) or tablespoon (large), spacing them out enough for them to expand. A dozen cookies should take 8-10 minutes to cook at 350F. Makes about 36 cup-size cookies.
