Background
Something I heard used a lot in Kazakhstan, and started asking about. A sort of reduplicatiion, similar to English e.g., healthy-shmealthy. I thought this specific one was limited to Russian, but apparently Kazakh has it built-in already. Thus I'm not sure what the origins are. (Turkish has it too, so might've entered Russian from Turkic languages, or maybe just in Russian of Kazakhstan).
Examples
Attested
- кола-мола (cola)
- ѳте-мѳте (KZ: very)
Forced
- слон-мон (RU: elephant)
