This is based on the Joy of Cooking recipe
Ingredients
Wet
- ½ stick (4-5tbs) butter, softened
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 or 3 brown bananas, mashed
- ⅔ cup sugar
Dry
- 1⅓ cup all-purpose unbleached flour
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
Optional
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease two bread pans
- Mix wet ingredients in large bowl
- Mix dry ingredients in smaller bowl
- Mix dry bowl into wet bowl
- Mix in walnuts
- Pour into bread pans
- Bake for about half an hour
