We are writing to invite you to contribute to a volume on the major languages of Central Eurasia. Specifically, we are hoping that you would be able to contribute a chapter on ____.

The volume in question will include detailed grammatical sketches, informed by modern linguistic theory, of the major languages of Central Eurasia. We have a list of __ languages which we are seeking contributions on, and are specifically interested in contributors who have background in modern theoretical linguistics and have worked closely with the language they're contributing for.

The majority of descriptive literature in English (and for that matter other languages) is not well-informed linguistically, and/or is often based on previous literature instead of on experience working with the languages. The purpose of this volume is to ___, and the intended audience is ___.
